Artist statement:

"My sources of inspiration are in the natural environment surrounding us. On my daily walks I explore the beauty in colours, organic textures and dynamics of the nature, which I find so fascinating as nature's living artwork, that is so rich in details and in a constant flow. In my creative process I become part of this flow and its pulsing energy, which flows through my body and is captured onto the canvas by each spontaneous brush stroke..."

Minna Salmesvuo - Biography in brief:

Minna Salmesvuo was born in Finland 1972 where she started drawing and painting at a young age. Her colourful abstract organic art is influenced by the scenery of her arctic native country as well as many other her favourite locations she has visited on her travels in Europe and Australia. Minna migrated to Australia in 2001, lived a short while in the Red Centre before settling in Melbourne for a few years. She now lives in the Geelong area in Victoria.
